El Mercat
Slaves or cabbages, markets have always fascinated us by the powerful stimuli that produce us: their images and textures, their smells, the sounds of people, the cries of sellers... are deep and ancestral sensations since the humanity discovered the power of the exchange of labour effort for the product, subject, as their rules state, to the purchase power of the people.
The visit to a market activates the deepest seduction between the elements that attract us and that we need or not, the direct deal with who has to sell them and ourselves. We find here the last stage of the trip: from the products at the counters to the intimacy of the tables where they will be consumed.
This fascination, and perhaps dreaminess, when going from one position to another is what makes markets relevant referents in every community.
The Col.lectiu8 establishes a visual reflection of all those aspects that the visit to a market brings us, that surprise us and make us feel. And they want to share it with you.
This exhibition offers works by Carol Cebrià, Cristina Cucinella, Laura Fandos, Paqui García, Paulino Jorge García Molero, Paco Sanz y Ramón Senesteva.
